What’s it about?
Welcome to the workshop that helps journalists and communication professionals – and anyone with a message to get across on social media – rise to the challenge of creating powerful mobile video content.
This one-day programme is delivered online, but still aims to be as practical and interactive as possible. Participants will undertake a series of step-by-step tutorials, from recording selfiestyle interviews to editing stories for social media. Horizontal, square or vertical video? We cover it. You will also learn how to add subtitles to your interviews, create promo videos and shoot additional video clips to create multi-layered stories.
The focus is on shooting and editing video from home, but the techniques will also apply as social distancing winds down. This workshop has been specially adapted from our popular How to Shoot and Edit Video with your iPhone workshop, led by tutor Dan Mason.
A PDF ‘toolkit’ will be shared with links to relevant apps and equipment.
Who’s it for?
Journalists and content creators working with the public, private and voluntary sectors, community media, PR, charities and unions. No previous experience of video is necessary.
