This 3 hour online session will be looking at the latest developments in the laws that affect journalists working in online, print or broadcast media. This refresher session is aimed at more experienced candidates who want to bring existing media law knowledge up to date.
The session will cover:

- Privacy, confidentiality and data protection
- Reporting restrictions in the courts
- Sexual offences
- Copyright
- Media ethics and watchdogs
The session will take the form of a presentation and short workshop with plenty of opportunities for discussion of individual issues or concerns.
