What’s private and what’s not? – A look at the fast-moving area of privacy law. Though we have only had effective privacy rights in the UK for a short time, what we can and can’t publish has changed dramatically. Landmark court cases mean that what was normally standard fare from the media might now need to be kept secret. Where does the public interest fit into all of this? How does social media exposure challenge the law? This session will look at developments in privacy law and the latest cases to answer some of the questions posed in this field.
