Spreadsheets are powerful pieces of software that let you analyse data accurately and swiftly in way that can be checked and edited, making them an ideal tool for journalists and communicators. This practical Fast Skills Friday course will teach you some easy-to-use techniques using demonstrations and exercises in Google Sheets, the free spreadsheet software available to everyone with a Google account (the techniques also work in Microsoft Excel – we will use Google Sheets as it is freely available). The course will also provide an introduction to how spreadsheets work and how to develop your skills further in your own time.
